Case Studies

Every organisation has different challenges. Our case studies show how we’ve worked alongside clients to find practical solutions, strengthen compliance and give their teams greater confidence when managing data.

01

National Charity | DPO

Following a 2024 gap analysis, the charity identified a number of areas where its data protection governance and compliance arrangements needed to be strengthened, with significant work required to turn recommendations into practical improvements.

DPS provided an outsourced DPO service alongside hands-on implementation support, covering governance frameworks, policies, RoPA, DPIAs, information rights, supplier governance, risk, staff training and Board assurance.

Across the project, the vast majority of strategic and governance recommendations were delivered. This helped move the organisation away from intensive remediation and towards a more sustainable, business-as-usual approach to data protection and continuous improvement.

02

National Charity | Training

The charity needed data protection and Information Governance training that went beyond generic compliance learning. The aim was to give staff practical guidance that reflected the organisation's own policies, systems and everyday responsibilities.

DPS developed bespoke training and induction content, supported by tailored question banks and LMS-compatible learning materials. The content was designed around the organisation itself, helping make training more relevant to the situations staff could actually encounter.

The result was a structured training and awareness programme that could support new-starter induction, provide more consistent learning across the organisation and make completion easier to monitor.

03

Digital Health: Integrated DPS

Rapid growth had left the organisation's GDPR, Information Governance and cyber arrangements struggling to keep pace. As systems, suppliers, marketing activity and international expansion developed, the business needed to strengthen governance without slowing that growth down.

DPS brought DPO, UK GDPR, IG, privacy, PECR, DPIA, supplier, cyber, DSPT and training support together into one concentrated programme, addressing immediate priorities while putting stronger foundations in place for the future.

Within just 12 weeks, the client had moved to a structured governance position, recruited internal compliance capability and put arrangements in place to manage its responsibilities more sustainably. DPS was then retained to provide ongoing DPO support.
