Founder & Director

​

Tania is an experienced and highly skilled Information Governance and Data Protection Specialist with an extensive track record of working in all areas of the health and social care and education sector. 

 
As holder of BCS GDPR Data Protection Practitioner Certificate and a Master of Science in the field of Health Information Governance, she has led on a variety of strategic and operational Information Governance related activities.​​

Tania is a Trustee Board member and DPO support for local Bedford Charity Carers in Bedfordshire and worked as a Data Privacy Lead for City & Guilds Group within a global regulated environment, managing the Data Privacy Team and providing a centralised internal Data Protection Service for the whole Group. 

 

Other Information Governance/Data Protection expert roles provided where to NHS England, 100.000 Genomes programme and NHS Digital in addition to two acute Trusts.

 

Tania prides herself in her ability to engage stakeholders in major decision making for successful integration of an active and working data privacy programme, tailored to the scope of the work required.

Cyber Security Specialist & Director

With 18 years of experience in the NHS at operational level and qualifications in IT and Cyber Security, Sean is a true asset to the team at Data Privacy Simplified and enables us to offer packages that combine Data Protection & Cyber Security, giving us a very unique and competitive edge.  

 

Sean holds a CGHQ accredited MSc in advanced Security & Digital Forensics and has extensive experience in multi-vendor voice and data network design and security, device and platform security assessments and hardening.

 

He has worked with various primary and secondary health care services for the NHS and the education sector and has experience of connecting private companies to NHS managed infrastructure.

 

Sean has recently co-developed an information security and data protection benchmark assessment tool primarily used for larger organisations, to gain a critical external view on their Cyber Security and Data Protection capabilities.

 

Taking a detailed and analytical approach to assess cyber security maturity of his clients, he provides his expertise to the technical teams to ensure they develop an efficient resource and documented cyber security operating model.

BJM IG Privacy

​

Barry Moult serves as the director of BJM IG Privacy Ltd and collaborates in partnership with DPS. Barry brings extensive expertise in Information Governance (IG) and privacy, rooted in his strong background as a healthcare professional.

 

As a former RAF Trained nurse and chairperson of both the Eastern Region IG Forum and the NHS Strategic IG Network (SIGN), Barry has a deep understanding of the healthcare sector's unique privacy challenges. His expertise extends to serving as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) and IG consultant for GP practices, hospices, and Local Authorities, providing comprehensive Data Protection and Freedom of Information (FOI) services.

 

Barry also won ICO Excellence in Data Protection Award in 2020 and the NHS SIGN IG Professional of the Year Award in 2021 underscore his significant contributions to the field and he is a fellow of the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) and an active conference speaker and training associate for HC-UK & DPAS, Barry is at the forefront of promoting IG best practices and education.

 

His achievements are particularly noteworthy showing his passion and dedication.​

Company Secretary, IG Specialist

Jennifer has been working in Information Governance for Health and Social
Care since 2016, and did 6 years in complaints handling before that.

Jennifer is DPS’ company secretary as well as the lead for the StAR service.

 

With over 10 years of experience in the public sector, Jennifer is a rounded professional who understands the value of engaging with stakeholders across the spectrum.

 

Jennifer is described as calm, knowledgeable, and pragmatic. With a particular interest in supporting data subject rights in social care, mental health, and learning disability services, Jennifer is passionate about inclusion and accessibility.

Head of Business Development & Data Protection
 

Yagmur is the Head of Business Development & Data Protection at DPS, where she drives the company’s strategic growth at the intersection of privacy, cybersecurity, and business innovation. With a unique blend of legal expertise, data protection leadership, and commercial acumen, she positions DPS as a trusted, award-winning partner for organisations navigating complex regulatory and security landscapes.
 

In her role, Yagmur focuses on building long-lasting client relationships, fostering strategic partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities to deliver sustainable business impact. She balances growth drivers, enablers, and risks to ensure long-term success while empowering a growing team through collaboration, adaptability, and trust.
 

Her professional background includes extensive experience as a qualified lawyer with dual master’s degrees in cybersecurity and deep expertise in GDPR/UK GDPR compliance, data governance, international data transfers, and data breach management. She also holds specialist certifications, including CIPP/E, Information Governance Practitioner, and AI Governance Architect.
 

Passionate about innovation, Yagmur actively contributes to evolving areas such as Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and AI Governance, ensuring DPS remains at the forefront of industry change.

IG & Data Protection Senior Lead

Karen brings this wealth of experience and expertise to DPS as Information Governance and Data Protection Senior Lead.

​

Karen has been working in and around IG and DP since 2010 across a number of different sectors in the public and private sphere.

 

This includes roles as varied as historical archives, data security, internal audit and information
governance.

An experienced IG Lead, Information Security consultant and Compliance Auditor, she is a self-confessed DP, IG, policy and data geek, never happier than when she is editing or writing a new policy document or creating engaging comms and training! 

Business Manager

Verity is our Business Manager and brings extensive knowledge of strategic operations and Programme Management from both public and
private sectors.

 

A highly experienced programme manager with a drive for efficiency, she brings logical thinking and business acumen to align business needs with commercial viability.

Data Protection Consultant

& Training Manager

​

Laura is currently working part-time as a Data Protection Consultant with DPS. Her background in data protection, business management, HR, training, and compliance has proven highly valuable to both the team and our clients.

 

With experience at both operational and board levels across various organisations, Laura has developed a deep understanding of business operations, which has enhanced her communication and organisational skills.

​

As an experienced project manager, she excels in developing and deploying strategies, systems, frameworks, and policies. Laura takes pride in her reputable track record and excellent customer service skills.

​

Most recently, Laura successfully managed the accreditation of Data Privacy Simplified as a registered and approved training center with Highfield and BCS(British Computer Society), which she now oversees.

Information Governance and Cyber Security Support Officer

 

Sophie is an IG and Cyber Security Support Officer at DPS whilst she continues to develop her Information Governance Skills and gain further qualifications.

 

At DPS, she offers support to the Senior Management Team, being the first point of contact for clients, assisting them in achieving compliance and building strong stakeholder relationships.

 

She has gained her BCS Foundation Exam in Data Protection and is currently studying on the Highfield Accredited IG Practitioner Course.

 

She holds degrees in Law and Linguistics, she is able to quickly learn, and has a drive for development, improvement and continued learning.
